Team #22 Cain's Quest

Andrew Milley

Andrew started riding snowmobiles when he was about 3 years old.  He rode his grandfathers Moto-Ski Elan around the back yard in circles for hours.  In 1997 his father purchased a new sled and they started riding together every weekend and have only missed a handful since.  Even from the beginning they rode mostly off trail.  They started off with Ski-Doo and have had a couple of Arctic Cats  and Yamahas but always ended up back on  Ski Doo.  In 2004 work brought my family to Labrador.  Since then Andrew has finished High School, and College and found permanent  employment.  He resides in Labrador City with his new Bride Meaghan .

Andrew met the members of Team Maine in 2007, their first trip to Labrador to compete in Cain’s Quest.   Since then Andrew has been on the support crew and has also raced as part of Team #44 in 2009.  Andrew is proud to be part of Team Maine Racing for this season and will do his best to keep up the teams good name, promote Cain’s Quest, and have a good time chasing after the Trophy in 2012.

Team #44 Cain's Quest

Craig Lemieux
Craig grew up in a snowmobiling family in the small town of Sangerville, Maine. It was here at a young age where he developed the passion for snowmobiling. It did not matter whether it was riding, racing or wrenching, he was obsessed with anything to do with snowmobiling. Following his father's footsteps lead Craig to his involvement in the local Snowmobile Club. Craig has now been the President of the Four Winds Snowmobile Club in Guilford for over fifteen years.

After high school Craig went on to Eastern Maine Community College earning a degree in Machine Tool Technology and Welding. He is now employed as a Machine Shop Supervisor at Hardwood Products in Guilford, Maine, where they design and build all their own production equipment.

Craig has been married to Rachelle for 14 years and has two girls Bailey, age 12 and Meagan, age 9. Craig and his family are active snowmobilers, annually taking several trips with their friends and family. Bailey and Meagan are very active in a variety of sports. Craig volunteers his time as a coach for his girls teams.

Craig took his snowmobiling tuning and riding talents to the lake where he was known for having one of the snowmobiles to beat, no matter what type of racing he was doing. He competed in the Wyman 200 three times, finishing in second place twice and third place once. He also spent many years drag racing and lake racing all over the state. During this time he was consistently trail riding around 4,000 miles a year between Maine and Canada for over fifteen years. In the past few years, having less time to ride, took him into the direction of off trail riding and high mileage endurance trips. Craig's reputation of completing these rides, riding ability and sled tuning abilities gained the attention of Team Maine Racing.

Craig will be joining his close friends, teammate Chad Jones, and support crew member, Justin Libby, as Team #44 in the 2012 Cain,s Quest. Craig is looking forward to continuing his support to Chad in his USCC racing. He also looks forward to helping the rest of the Team Maine members that are racing in the Iron Dog, USCC, and Cain's Quest.

Chad Jones
Chad grew up in Abbot, Maine enjoying anything and everything outdoors.  It wasn’t until age 13, when his father brought home a brand-new 1993 Tundra for ice fishing, that the obsession with Ski-Doo snowmobiles began.  The ’93 Tundra must have been one of the toughest machines ever built, considering its abuse and extreme mileage well beyond “ice fishing”.  Chad bought his very own first sled, a 1998 MXZ 500, in high school with his summer earnings.  At age 30, he has now owned over 17 different Ski-Doo’s, a majority of them raced in one form or the other, including hill-cross, sno-x, drags, radar, and cross-country.

Chad raced semi-pro RMR sno-x in 2002-2004, which was enjoyed, not only by him but the rest of his family and friends; however his true passion has always been cross-country.  Before “The Wyman” disappeared Chad won the Wyman Open Class in 2001.  In 2006, the last year of the Caribou, ME cross-country, he also won the Open Class on an ‘06 MXZx 800 in a 28 man field.  In 2010 cross-country returned with USCC’s expansion to the East, and finishing in 2nd place in both the Pro Stock, and Pro Open at the Greenville 100 was a big step for a previous two time cross-country racer.  In 2011 Chad won both the Pro Open & Vet 30+ at the Madawaska 100, before a season ending injury while leading the Pro Stock race.

Chad graduated from Maine Maritime Academy in 2003 with a BS in Marine Engineering, and is currently employed by McDermott Inc. as the Chief Engineer aboard the DB 50, a heavy lift crane ship.  The DB 50 is currently located at Sembawang Shipyard in Singapore, undergoing a major power and propulsion re-fit and upgrade.   A typical work schedule is a 6 weeks on / 6 weeks off rotation, but Chad’s dedication to snowmobiling and competition has led to extended trips at work through the summer to focus the entire winter 2012 to racing both USCC and Cain’s Quest.

Chad’s major goals for 2012 are to represent Team Maine at the top of the USCC East Pro class, and to race Cain’s Quest as part of Team Maine’s two teams competing for top finishes.  Snowmobiling adventures, whether they be racing, riding, or wrenching; have developed many of his closest friends.  Two friends closely involved include his Cain’s quest Team #44 team mate,  Craig Lemieux, and support crew member Justin Libby.
