Team Maine Racing September Newsletter

It’s that time of year again.  Leaves are starting to change, nights are getting cooler, the days are getting shorter and football season is underway.  That only means one thing……fall is here and the snow is coming.  We want to bring you up to speed on what’s going on with Team Maine and keep you updated throughout the season on where we are and news that is happening in and around the sport.

Team Maine Racing is once again gearing up for this years events all coming together in mid-march for Cain’s Quest 2009.  This year promises to be the biggest yet with 35 teams able to register and many more wishing they could.

First we are very excited to announce that Team Maine Racing will have 2 teams entered in this year’s race.  Team 22 will once again be Rob and Rich and we will add Team 44, David and Andrew Milley from Labrador City, Newfoundland.  Andrew, a Braaap video rider will have a feature in the upcoming Braaap 8 video, has run support for Team Maine for the last two years. He is highly skilled as well as a top-notch mechanic. Andrew spends much of his time repairing and rebuilding sleds for the local Ski-Doo shop in Lab City.  He is very well respected in the community of Labrador City and brings unmeasurable skills to our team. David, a pastor in Lab City, has also run support in the bush for Team Maine as well as many pre-race runs to help with routing. The fact that he has shaped Andrew into the rider and mechanic that he is speaks volumes in itself. We have ridden with Dave and to say the least, it is impressive.

We are also very excited to have formed a relationship with Monster Performance & Custom out of NY!  Monster Performance is a small shop that takes the time to build performance shocks built to their customer’s needs and demands.  We look forward to working with them and 1st class product that they can supply us.

It is with great honor that we add Andrew and David to the Team Maine Racing family.  We hope that you will support the Milley's as much as they have supported us. This was an easy decision for us to add them as a second team. They will bring much skill and pre-planning for Team Maine Racing.

Rob just returned from Haydays Grass Drags in Minnesota where he made a lot of contacts in the snowmobile industry.  He was even able to talk face to face with heads of ski-doo race department about Team Maine Racing.  Things look promising for this year.

We have the MSA snowmobile show coming up on October 3-5.  We will have a booth there with one of our new 2009 race sleds.  We’ll also have new gear for sale including Long sleeve and short sleeve T’s and some hoodies.  Also at the show, we will be doing a power point presentation on Saturday the 4th highlighting the 2008 race, come check it out!! All are welcome!  We will also present a check to Pine Tree Camp for $3000.00 as we continue to race for and support them in their endeavors.

Thank you all for supporting Team Maine Racing, we are looking forward to another successful year.
