I was born in Manchester N.H. and lived
in Maine until 12. My family has a long history in the
sport of snowmobiling. It started in the late sixty's
with my grandfather. When I moved to California in the
late 80's snowmobiling was of course not an option so I
took up snowboarding, dirt bikes, recreational riding
and racing in both enduro and motocross. After high
school I moved back to Maine and started racing the
grass drags around New England. That led to ice drags
and then to the Wyman where I finished third in the open
mod class. I also raced in the Rock Maple Series in
Unity, Bingham, and Jackman.
Every year I got more and more back to my roots in trail
riding. but it didn't take long before I found my true
passion for cross country touring, logging more than
82,000 miles in the last 8 years alone. Touring all 13
regions of Quebec, Western Ontario, New Brunswick,
Maine, New Hampshire and of course Labrador. In the last
few years I have taken up off trail and bush riding
mostly early and late in the season. I was lucky enough
to ride in 7 calendar months last year.
I have taken many people with me over the years and one
of two things happens they either never go with me
again, or they get hooked on my passion for the sport
and start planning the next adventure.
I live in Mercer with my supporting wife Tina who rides
as well. We own and operate Creative Paint Concepts
Inc. located in the mid coast, along with The Ice Cream
Shoppee located in central Maine. We are both very
faithful Ski Doo riders.
My goals for this race are both personal and the
goodwill for a great cause. I have only known Dana, Rich
and Todd just a few years but have all the faith in both
in my field race partner and very talented team
managers, as well as my abilities. With the added
support of the Milley's we plan to be a very competitive
team in this event. Our experience from the last 2 years
will be a big asset to Team Maine in this years race.
